USABILITY AND UX SEMINAR September 19th, 2013

Our Faculty’s R&D  project group HytoPro participated  in  a seminar about user experience and engaging interaction design on Thursday, September 19th. The  themes of the English-speaking presentations were the Aesthetics of Interaction and Social Influence Features for Digital Customer Engagement. The Finnish presentations looked at different cases of UX such as the renewal of Finland’s patient record system, and the use of a tablet-based dictation application in nursing.

Increasing Intercultural Understanding in Work Communities: Contextual Action Research in Social and Health Care Work

Increasing Intercultural Understanding in Work Communities: Contextual Action Research in Social and Health Care Work is a four-year (2013-2017) projct in which we are a partner. The co-ordinator of the project is Prof. Pirkko Pitkänen from the University of Tampere, Finland.  The multicultural everyday of work life is investigated from the folloewing perspectives:  (1) Management of diversity; (2) Recruitment/qualification; (3) Interaction/communication; and (4) Intercultural learning.  These factors form a basis both for the project design and for the composition of the research team.
